「玫瑰──玫瑰──我愛你！」火星殖民地墾拓區的圓頂大
氣罩裡，擴音器傳來古典的中文流行歌曲，沈悶的異星荒地
有了歡樂氣氛。
暮色璀燦絢麗，紅色的天空與大地充滿夢幻色澤，圓頂大氣罩之外的火星沙原，刮起可怕的強風，漫天遍地的迷濛詭異，對應著保護罩內安享寧靜，清一色男性健壯的體態配合著耕作機器人工作，寂寞無奈就隨之埋葬在墾拓區的荒地裡，為了建設第二個地球而努力，主要的工作是以遺傳工程培育耐寒的植物，並擴大繁衍，成為火星農業的基礎。
阿興放下工作，暫時歇口氣，伸舉雙手挺一挺腰桿，陶醉在愉悅的歌聲裡，一時興起，拉著身旁的女性外表的機器人跳起舞來，情不自禁在她腮幫親了一下。嘿，好香甜柔軟的肌膚。阿興曾是十年前台灣大陸的第一號通緝犯，經過腦部改造後，在此服刑勞改，此時機器人身上散發出的女性費洛蒙，產生吸引男性的魅力，加上阿興太久沒有跟女性接觸，此刻也就不把機器人當機器，甚且對它的嫵媚和撩人姿色目迷神搖。
「玫瑰，嫁給我吧！」阿興摟著機器人的腰，跪下來，高喊著：「你是我的可愛玟瑰。」觸景生情，這個曾是惡貫滿盈的狠角色，身上每一寸肌肉剌滿龍的圖案，過去的凶惡只有魔鬼堪與比擬，如今竟然在火星的勞改營裡向機器人求婚。玫瑰確實有著如假似真的美色，難怪會吸引真正的男人。
「你有資格嗎？你的成續夠好嗎？」被阿興稱為「玫瑰」的可愛機器人嬌聲嗲氣回答，慢慢牽起阿興的手，扶他起來。
阿興激動得久久不能自已，腦際裡湧出連串的辛酸回憶…
那是地球的先遣移民火星計畫，派出的華人探險隊，由最聰明的機器人擔任大總管，其中一支全部是由死刑罪犯所組成，個個結實碩壯，就算少數瘦弱斯文者，他們也都犯下極惡不赦的殺人死罪，必須永遠與人類世界隔絕。
他們的一線生機就拜了腦部改造的科技實驗，將邪惡本質改變為良善，加上人類移民外星球的需要，將死囚腦矯治後再予人道發配，送到遙遠的荒涼星球去從事開墾，讓他們像機器人一般的活著，進行勞動改造，如果死囚真能洗心革面，悔改向善，表現成績良好，他們餘生將有機器人配偶與之共同生活，在遙遠的異星世界得到人生的另類慰藉，免除寂寞之苦。
他們成了被遺忘的一群，被放逐的地球外星人，他們以血肉之軀的人類，混入機器人的生活裡。
終於，阿興因為表現良好獲得火星當局許可，如願娶得了玫瑰。
兩年後，阿興與玫瑰有了機器人嬰兒，那是由機器人工廠以來自台灣最新的電子科技模擬研發的新成品，嬰兒會隨著時間成長，增加智力，將來甚至結婚生子，繁衍機器子孫。
阿興已經加入了機器族類，成為機器人的祖先，衷心感謝愛侶玫瑰。（完）

“Rose…Rose…I love you!” In the colonial reclamation area within the dome-shaped atmospheric globe, classical Chinese pop music flowed out from a speaker, giving the strange, bleak land of gloom a merry mood.
The twilight was resplendent and dazzling, and enchanting hues filled the crimson sky and earth. In the Martian sand plain beyond the atmospheric globe, a terrifying fierce wind picked up. A hazy eeriness diffused throughout the air and land, a contrast with the peace and tranquility in the protective globe. The men’s identically strong build worked in tune with the cultivating robots, loneliness and helplessness buried along into the desolate reclamation area. In order to build up a second earth, the main task is to cultivate cold-resistant vegetation with genetic engineering, and expand the propagation so as to become the foundation of Mars’ agriculture.
Hsing put down his work, resting a while to catch his breath. He raised his arms above his head to stretch his back, drinking in the cheerful music. On the spur of the moment he grabbed a female-looking robot beside him and danced with her, then kissed her cheek on sudden impulse. Mmm…the deliciously soft and sweet skin. Ten years ago, Hsing was the criminal most wanted in <country-region w:st="on">Taiwan</country-region> and <place w:st="on"><country-region w:st="on">China</country-region></place> . After his brain had been reconstructed, he was sent here to reform through labor. At the moment, the robot was giving off female pheromones, producing a charming effect on men. Add to the fact that it’s been eons since Hsing has been around females, at this point the robot was no longer a ma <personname w:st="on">chi</personname> ne in his eye, and he was even swooning at her enchanting, dainty good looks.
“Marry me, Rose!” Hsing embraced the robot’s waist, kneeled and cried, “You are my own lovely Rose.” This tough character who once committed crimes to the limit of Heaven’s tolerance, had dragon designs tattooed over every inch of his muscles, and whose past viciousness only a demon could match, was now proposing to a robot in the labor camp on Mars. Rose really did have an appearance resembling a real human, and it was no wonder real men were attracted.
“Are you qualified? Do you have good enough grades?” The lovely robot Hsing calls Rose replied in a sweetly sugary tone, and taking up his hand slowly, pulled him up.
For a long while, Hsing was so flushed he could hardly contain himself. Bitter memories surged continuously through his mind…
It was the Advanced Mars Immigration Project. The Chinese expedition team dispatched was led by the most brilliant robot as Chief Manager. Death convicts formed one branch, each one strong and sturdy. Even the few who looked thin and gentle had committed atrocious capital crimes, and must be forever isolated from the human world.
For their only chance of survival, the death convicts have the scientific experiment of brain reconstruction to thank, for it changed their evil nature into good. Also, as humans have the need to immigrate to other planets, after going through the brain rectification, they were humanely deported to the desolate planet faraway for reclamation. There they lived like robots, reforming through labor. If they really succeed in turning over a new leaf, repent and become good people, and show satisfactory performance, they will receive a robot spouse to spend their remaining lives with—a special kind of comfort in life on a remote, strange planet to relieve the bitter pains of loneliness.
They had become a forgotten group, banished aliens of earth. As humans of flesh and blood, they mixed into the robotic life.
At last, because of Hsing’s fine performance, the authorities of Mars gave their permission, and as his heart desired he married Rose.
Two years later, Hsing and Rose had a baby robot, a new product researched and developed through simulation in the robot factory with <place w:st="on"><country-region w:st="on">Taiwan</country-region></place> ’s latest electronic technology. The baby will grow up with time, increase its intelligence, and in the future, even marry and bear <personname w:st="on">chi</personname> ldren, proliferating robot descendants.
Hsing has joined the robotic race, and is the forefather of robots. Genuine thanks to his beloved wife, Rose. (The End)
